of things that matter most

Oh my heck, has it been my turn to post for nearly 2 weeks?! big oops!  The ridiculous thing is I've had this post in my head for at least that long, I've just had family in town and what-not and time passed me by.  Anyway...

My dad sent me this movie a while ago.  It was a great reminder during the everyday drudgery (and joy!) of raising hooligans.  It helped me remember just how wonderful the little souls I have in my care really are and made me want to try just a bit harder to see that in the day-to-day. It made me (all teary-eyed) remember where I've come from and whence I'm going.  As an added bonus, the cinematography is super-cool! Enjoy!

  1. What a perfect reminder. Thank you. I loved watching it when Dad sent it and just as much when you did. The cinematography is amazing!! I guess I had a brief moment today when everything slowed down for a moment and it was bliss. The boys were downstairs playing together (and not fighting), Ella was napping, Phillip was on the computer, the windows were open and a breeze was blowing through and it was just still. and wonderful. I need to try and pause my life relish the little moments. Thank you for the reminder.

  2. Thanks again for the reminder. I love my little warriors and it takes me many reminders to calm down, take a step back and take the grand scheme in. The little things in life-the giggles, the kisses, the bright eyes and freckles dancing across noses are the little pieces of joy that help me remember the Lord's plan and the strong spirits inside little bodies.

  3. Oh thanks Whit, I really needed that and you're right AMAZING cinematography. I know we've been trying to simplify and just enjoy the day-to-day life that we've been given.
